Photographs and Life

I can't get enough of them! I have an obsession with taking a picture of a nature scene and then coming home and writing a story about what the picture makes me think about. Is that weird? I think I have about 17 of those stories now :) They are all really special to me.

Anyhow, I can't believe 2009 is 1/6 over with! It seems like it just started yesterday... Well, wherever you are located in this huge, huge world, I hope your New Year has been great so far, and I hope that wherever you are, your life and your heart is filled with peace, love, and happiness.
So, what's been going on in my life... Hmm... I currently have the unique (and sometimes difficult) pleasure of living life as a teenage girl. Let me just say, being a teenager is AWESOME. I've been loving every minute of it! Our lacrosse team had our first 'scrimmage' yesterday to prepare us for the real season. Actually, we had three of them. I couldn't play because I hurt my knee, so I supported the girlies :) They won all three games and I couldn't have been happier for them if I tried! Lacrosse is really an awesome sport. I haven't been playing for that long but I've been playing long enough to know how a team sport works. By the end of each lacrosse season, I grow very close to the other girls on my team.
I think it's very important to not be afraid to try new things. I suffered with that my entire life up until eight months ago, or so. Then someone put a lacrosse stick in my hand, and I wasn't afraid anymore. Starting something new takes loads and LOADS of effort, dedication, and determination, but when you catch a ball for the first time, make an assist in your first game, and score in your third, all the work you put in until that point was totally worth it and only makes you want to work even harder. I love that feeling.
Wow... I started talking about black and white pictures, then the New Year, then Lacrosse, and then the importance of trying new things... I must be a random kid after all :) Well, enough of the randomness for one day... Thanks for taking the time to check out my blog :) If you like it, or find it remotely interesting at all, leave me a comment and/or tell your friends to check it out!
I wish you nothing but the best.
